Provisional British Patent for Ever-Pointed Pencils


This document is a copy of a Provisional British Patent, number 1831, granted to Barnet Solomon Cohen on August 8, 1859, for an ever-pointed pencil. The patent is bound in its original blue cover and consists of a single sheet printed on both sides. Barnet Solomon Cohen operated a stationery establishment in London; his brother, Henry Cohen, ran a similar business in Philadelphia and imported many items from Barnet.
