This archival item is an October 1, 1825, issue of the *Christian Register*, a Boston, Massachusetts newspaper. The back page contains a full reprint of Mordecai Manuel Noah's proclamation to the Jews, delivered in Buffalo, New York on September 15, 1825, by A. B. Seixas.

This collection comprises a selection of issues of *The Israelite*, a newspaper published in Cincinnati, Ohio, from April 12 to June 28, 1861. The issues cover Volume VII, numbers 41 through 51, with issues #44 missing. The newspaper was published by Bloch & Co. and edited by Isaac Mayer Wise. The collection includes advertisements.
