The card advertises a wide variety of items for sale, including blouses, frocks, overcoats, pants, hats, caps, wool and rubber blankets, tents, wagon covers, rubber clothing, muskets, swords, belts, blank books, drums, fifes, bugles, ornaments, iron cots, chains, buckets, picks, spades, shovels, etc. Simon Flechter also manufactured rubber horse covers and wool fly nets, and dealt in general merchandise. The card features bold, decorative Victorian-style lettering for the business name and product categories, typical of advertising of the period. A small graphic emblem is placed between "Government" and "G.A.R. Goods".
