Copper engraving depicting the Jodensavanne (Jewish Savanna) in Suriname. The engraving, measuring 18.5 cm by 13.5 cm on a sheet of handmade paper (approx. 26 x 19 cm), is one of the earliest printed depictions of a Jewish colony in the New World. It shows the landscape and possibly some buildings of the Jodensavanne settlement.
